Maximus is born and Monday Memory Verse

After making us wait 41 weeks and 3 days, our boy, with the wonderful help of induction, was born on September 4th, 2013 at 4:33pm. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He came out perfect. Perfect face, perfect round little noggin, perfect fingers and toes, and he came out with a FULL head of hair! He's my first with that much hair! Oh, he's just a beautiful little man. 

His name is 

Maximus Caius.

Maximus means "the greatest" or "great" and Caius means "rejoicing" so together it means 

"Great Rejoicing".

This was so fitting for him to be named this because of all that he has been and is in our family. The last 3ish years have been some crazy ones for us and especially the last 11 months. We've hit the heaviest of storms in so many areas in our lives. We've gone through a lot of loss, heartaches, marital shtuff, unknowns, hurts, depression, and so on BUT in these times we've also had this hope of this little one coming into our family. He's been a little light in the darkness that has been such a gift to my heart.

We first found out I was pregnant on December 21, 2012, which was supposed to be the day the world would end, according to the Mayan Calendar. Haha! Well, it didn't end BUT life as we had known it did and this was just the cherry on top!

I am so in love with our little wild thing, Max. He is just amazing! I'm so thankful to Jesus for our little addition. It's amazing looking at all four of my kids all together... I can't help but to rejoice that Jesus chose me to be their Mommy. It's amazing. 

Tony and I are beyond grateful for this new season in our family. In all the craziness we've faced, we can see God's goodness, grace and kindness toward us in the faces of our littles.
