mommy delirium and silly kids
Ya know those days that by the end of it you are so exhausted that you get a little coo-coo for cocoa puffs?
That happens a lot around here.
Homeschooling went late because we started late.
My hair was feeling dirty and disheveled even though I had just washed it. I was trying out this "beach hair" spray-in thingy and it really did make my hair *feel* like I had just been to the beach. {enter your best stinker face here} *Feeling* like beach hair and *looking* like beach hair are two very different things. {enter another stinker face here}
My make-up was half off and half smeared.
I was, however, wearing real clothes and not sweats {enter super surprised face here}.
Two baby boys were sleeping and I was talking to my girls about their Monday Memory Verse of the week.
Speaking of Monday Memory Verses, I've been a slacker on posting them here like I said I would do. Boo. Sorry about that.
This week's verse is Ephesians 2:8
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
So I was explaining this to them and what it means and how we aren't supposed to say things like, "Look how awesome I am" but "Look how awesome Jesus is" and other stuff like that.
Scarlett and I were sitting on the floor together and Moriyah was sitting at the table doing her nature journaling.
Scarlett, who is the silly piccadilly in the family, looks at my face and says, "Jesus goooooood."
We started to giggle and she says again, "Jesus gooooood".
So then I get right in her face and say, "Satan baaaaaad".
Then we all start laughing harder and saying it more and then my eyes start watering really bad and Scarlett asks me why I'm crying and I tell her I'm just laughing hard and we start laughing more and then we recorded our crazy-pants doing it.
So here ya go.
This is the product of mommy delirium and silly kids.
We may be goobers but we're goobers together!
