I'm reading in Revelation right now and came to this verse: "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten." (3:19)
It's such a comfort knowing that BECAUSE of His love, He disciplines us. In the hard and heavy seasons, remember that He loves in those moments. He hasn't walked away, forgotten you, can't hear you or doesn't care BUT just the opposite. He loves so deeply and is being a good Father by allowing seasons of testing to shape us and mold us into something of greater value that can only come through the storms and times of correcting. We can't base those moments on our feelings of pain but need to base them on the truths in Scripture and the promises of God.
Then I looked up and saw the clouds and remembered this verse: "Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds." -Ps. 36:5
He loves, He's faithful and He's present even in pain.
