When God is moving, expect opposition.

This season in our lives lately has been one of stilling the busyness of our lives and pressing in to hear from the Lord.

The Lord is moving in big ways in our lives right now while also at the same time, many things are against us. I keep reminding myself of what I am seeing God doing right now, to keep me moving forward when I get overwhelmed by opposition. There is too much to share on here BUT with all that the Lord IS doing, it's proving to me that He is fast at work behind the scenes. God is answering so much prayer right now and speaking so much to my heart and it's really an exciting time! With God's hand moving, the enemy is also at work 

trying to "kill, steal and destroy". It's almost comical looking at all that seems stacked against us in light of what the Lord is currently doing. Of course, in a season that my husband and I need to be fixing our eyes and thoughts on the Lord, seeking hard for wisdom and direction, that the enemy would be throwing darts at us, trying to distract us. But in reality, all the craziness has only brought my husband and I closer to each other and to the Lord! 

I just read this: "For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries." -1 Cor. 16:9

Pastor Chuck's commentary says this: "I love this about Paul! He never ran from a fight. He saw enemies as being evidence that God was about to do something exciting. I wonder how many great opportunities we miss and how many open doors we ignore because we get scared away by adversity. Our attitude should be, 'Resist the devil and he will flee from you'"

Reminds me SO much of this season we are in! God is heavily at work and there are also so many things against us. It's the evidence of God's hand at work in our lives!

So timely to read all that today. 

When the Lord is about to do something BIG, you can be sure to expect opposition, but stay encouraged, fight the good fight, and keep looking towards Jesus because it's just evidence of His hand at work in your life!

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" -Romans 8:31

"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love." 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
