His strength in my weaknesses
From a challenging pregnancy to an emergency C-section to newborn life and sleepless nights to returning to this world of babyhood after being out of it for so long has all reminded me of my great need for Jesus in fresh new ways.
Grateful everyday, yes, but hard. This is a season where my weaknesses are on full display, my capacity to do what I did before is not the same AND YET I feel called by God to run for some really big and hard goals which mean my dependency on Him is at an all time high. Without Him it won’t happen BUT WITH HIM ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
Children have a powerful way of reminding us of our need for Jesus daily. The need is always there but it’s easy to forget when life is predictable and in a rhythm. Once we’re out of that rhythm it’s like a wake up call to where we fall short and need help in.
So everyday at the start of my day I’m reminding myself of truth in God’s Word, rolling my much needed En-R-Gee roller on, praying for His anointing on my life, my words, my mothering, my family, my business and asking Him to take my limited capacity and allow it to impact and reach beyond my own abilities and into His unlimited abilities. That He would use my small and enlarged it to impact the Kingdom for His glory.
Our weaknesses revealed isn’t a bad thing if we can take it to the feet of Jesus and ask Him to touch it and bless it and do what only He can do with it.
If you’re weary, mama, even your small capacity right now can greatly impact the Kingdom of God with just the touch of Jesus. So whether it’s in your home, your business, your marriage, your ministry, your mothering, whatever it is that God has in front of you, He will multiply your efforts if you bring it before Him, are faithful to the call on your life and listen closely to what He is asking you to do.
We might not have it all together but the good news is that He does! And He’s really strong in our weaknesses!
“Each time He said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
