Moments with Jesus
Have you had those times with Jesus where your memory of that moment was as if Jesus was literally there physically with you, in the flesh, and He held you up, met you, carried you, walked with you, spoke to you, listened to you or sat with you?
During my workout this morning I was listening to a song and these lyrics stood out:
You are the Truest Friend
Staying through the night when I was at my end
Comforting my heart till it was light again
Oh this is a faithful kind of love
(Names by Elevation Worship)
It got me thinking.
I have these memory markers...
The leather chair in the corner of our old living room.
The front seat of our broke down minivan.
The loop around my mom’s neighborhood.
The beach in Hawaii.
The floor of my bedroom.
So many spots that, in my memory, it was Jesus sitting with me, standing with me, healing my soul, moving in my heart and breaking free parts of what held me down to usher in freedom.
This relationship with Jesus, the daily walking with Him in my life is everything I want for my children. Nothing matters more because it’s what touches the eternal as well as the here and now.
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
- 3 John 1:4
