Scarlett turns 14

My baby girl turned 14 on Tuesday. She is forever to me my baby girl but to the world around her she is a young lady now, full of beauty and character and kindness. She has a servant’s  heart like no one I’ve ever met. She has grown in her relationship with Jesus so much over the years but especially this last year. She has fought different health issues over the last couple of years without ever complaining. Ever. We are all in awe of her ability to see the good in everything and everyone. 

She was born with a fire in her soul that went dormant for a bit but is rising up again and it’s such a beautiful thing to witness. 

I prayed and prayed for a full year before I was pregnant with her, thinking something was wrong with me, only to find out that God just had a plan with HER in mind and He shut my womb for 12 months until the right timing for her to come. God knew we all needed HER. 

She is grace and beauty and joy and kindness. Her name came from scripture and represents the hope of Christ and what He came to accomplish. She is what dreams are made of and we are the most blessed family to get her in our lives.
