Last night I sat in bed with sacred frankincense dripped on my head as I listened to the Bible with a heating pad on me to keep me extra toasty. Heaven! I highly recommend! 

I finished Exodus and started Leviticus last night and kept hearing things that made me get so excited I kept having to talk to Tony about and walk into my girls’ room to share all the things. The descriptions of God, the seriousness of sin and seeing again why Jesus coming literally changed everything, the power of God, there’s just so much in the Bible that is incredible. 

The part where Moses asks God to show him God’s glory is one of my favorites…

Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.” 

Exodus 33:18-23

The KINDNESS of the Lord to cover him always gets to me. I want that same thing of the Lord… Show me your glory, Lord. Yes and amen. 

I was also loving last night how over and over God told his people to use frankincense in the anointing oil and the incense. If it was important enough for God to speak of, I want to incorporate it in my home. And frankincense on my head while listening to the Bible is so special. Someday I hope to walk in the holy land and be in the places that Jesus walked, but until then, I love getting to use different essential oils that were spoken of in the Bible and bring a little bit of the holy land into my home. It feels extra special.
